SURGE IN MENTAL HEALTH
When asked "Do you believe that the surge in mental health issues is because people in the modern day are more vulnerable to mental health issues or is there just more awareness compared to the past?" More then 1/2 said that its a blend off both, but out of the two the awareness seems to be more believed
HOW TO COPE?
At the end of our survey we asked for an optional message to say to those who are wondering or struggling to cope with mental health issues and stress, here is some of the suggestions we was sent:
"It’s more a less situationally but if possible step far away from the thing that’s causing the stress and compose yourself then come back to it to see if you can find out a better way to surpass it."
"I think it's important to have something that calms someone down and that lets the person forget about their stress for a period of time. Stress can be very exhausting so it's great to have something calming that restores some energy to deal with all the things that stress the person out."
"Shower/bath , reading , walking , listening to music , watching a comfort film/ show and eating comfort food."
"Personally it would be to stop procrastinating, and get all of the jobs done that are causing me stress in the first place."
"Honestly, it’s hard to say, everyone has their stressors, everyone copes differently, the best way I’ve found is to listen to music but meditation, grounding yourself is a very very important part of handling stress."
"Self care, exercise, socialising with friends or To relieve stress they can go to their "safe space" where they can escape reality."
